First nights in New Zealand

Have to say that the people are so friendly here! Airport customs are usually dull, get to the point people. Here they were friendly, they even talked with us! We managed to get a free ride into the city by this nice lady i sat next to in the plane, we just talked a bit and then mentioned that we were backpackers, and she was like -I have a car! i can give u guys a ride! This would probably never occur in Sweden.

So what my first Impression of Auckland a Saturday night? A smaller Sydney! And lots of skanky girls! The streets felt empty somehow, they are more people out a Tuesday night in Sydney then what it is in Auckland on a Saturday.

And lots of fully sick gangsta kids driving around in their pimped out cars, playing very loud rap, or electronical music. Funny guys.

The hostel we stayed in the first 3 nights was in X-base, 20NZ dollars per night in a 4 bunkbed room, with no window! Maybe that's why its so bloody cheap. Feels like ur sleeping in a cryo-chamber tho.. You loose time perspective cause you don't see any sunlight coming in. So it can be 2.00pm and it feels like its 8 in the morning.. But its cheap! And WE LOVE CHEAP.

We live with a girl from Irland, most of the time i have no idea what shes talking about
due to the accent, but i smile and nod :) nice gall tho!, then we have this French dude,
that we didn't really talk so much with.

We just found an apartment that we moved into today, very nice one for 260NZ per week, for
both of us. We have our own room (Unfurnished tho), Lies very central, walking distance to
the central station, At the first floor the building has a Pool, Sauna and a gym, which i
really like :) the apartment doest have internet atm but we are getting it later hopefully!

We are sharing the apartment with a South African English dude named Devon, seems nice :)
So that's what's happening!
